Mike Gallagher
Mike has spent the majority of his baseball career in the Northern Virginia area where his accomplishments include being an All-District high school player, American Legion All-Star and All-Conference collegiate player at Shenandoah University. For five years, Mike coached at Hayfield High School in Alexandria, VA where he served as a varsity assistant, head JV coach, and head varsity coach. In 2006, Mike was named the 2006 Patriot District Coach of the Year for the Hayfield Hawks, leading the Hawks to a school-record 17 wins and an overall record of 17-6 (13-3). Mike also served as the head varsity baseball coach at Bishop Ireton High School in Alexandria, VA from 2007–2013. Mike was named the 2008 Washington Catholic Athletic Conference (WCAC) Coach of the Year after leading the Cardinals to the school’s first-ever WCAC title game. The Cardinals repeated their trip to the WCAC finals in 2009. Mike was also the founder and owner of Dominion Baseball Academy and the former DBA Dragons travel baseball program. The Dragons, established in 2006, have sent several players on to college baseball. Dominion Baseball and the Dragons program beginning in 2015 transitioned to Metro Baseball Academy and the Metro Senators.
Mike resides in Springfield, VA, with his wife Kristin and 2 children Ryan and Phoebe.
